In 2009 Adomas entered the University of Nottingham to study Mathematics and Economics with the hopes of becoming a legendary investment banker. But then he joined AIESEC, spent two summers volunteering in Venezuela and China, and found a passion for this strange thing called Marketing. So, instead of a career in the City, he went for something even more exotic - starting with a social media internship at Socialus Marketingas in Vilnius and then a year-long traineeship at Vintage Rides, a motorcycle tour agency in New Delhi, India. It was during that time that Adomas started taking some small freelancing jobs as well - and the rest, as they say, is history. For the last four years Adomas has been working as an independent Facebook advertising specialist, managing over $2 million in ad spend for his clients. He promoted seven crowdfunding campaigns that raised over $1 million on Kickstarter, as well as the carVertical ICO that raised over $15 million in funding. Now, Adomas is enjoying his life as a digital nomad, living and working from different places around the world for the majority of the year. He is eager to share his experience of studying in the UK, applying for jobs, volunteering abroad, freelancing, and pursuing a career in Marketing with anyone who is considering a similar path too!

After changing 5 cities in 2 years (10 in life), she is currently settled in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It's a result of a colourful journey filled with brilliant people, witnessed and gained wisdom, a lot of determination, hard work and love. Aiste has graduated from Vilnius Lyceum, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (Bsc in Economics), Rotterdam School of Management (CEMS Msc.) and ESADE Business School (CEMS MSc.). The first one landed her a job in a PR agency Publicum where she learned how much good a bright mentor can do with&for a young person and that she needed to learn much more in my life. The Bachelors degree taught her resilience and hard work and landed her a job at Omnitel (aka Telia, Lithuania) as a Project Manager leading B2C Offering for 3 years. Finally, her masters degree earned me an internship in Brand Management at Google (Belgium), an Analytics job at Uber (Poland) and now CRM job at Uber Eats (the Netherlands), as well as, most importantly, her partner in life. These are facts hiding hundreds of stories and lessons that can be insightful for you too: from motivation or lack thereof, numerous tests, exams and interviews to how to not lose yourself in a truly global world, how to keep your strong and weak social ties in tact and how to enjoy and let go (still learning that one every day).

Linkedin
I love the quote of Henry Ford - 'Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.' It's all about your mindset and determination to achieve what you want. I am passionate about people's development and if my profile looks like a good match for you, I will be looking forward to exploring possibilities and providing support in driving your goals to achievement. I started my career 14 years ago in a fintech firm, closely working with hedge fund managers and for the last 10 years I have been in banking, securities services (Citi and HSBC). I have held a variety of managerial roles across client management, client on-boarding, business analysis, product management and regulatory assurance. I launched new products and I decommissioned old ones, I set up new teams and held responsibility for regional product P&L. My career was always fast paced and anything but boring! Outside of work I love spending time with my family, travelling (greetings from Malaysia as I write this message!), meeting new people and new cultures. I love skiing, reading, board games and many other activities - anything that feeds my curiosity and keeps me active. If you know exactly what you want to do in life, then I could help with being a sounding board for your thoughts. If you don't, then I will work with you to explore opportunities and find your direction. And it doesn't have to be in finance! As a rather seasoned mentor, I find that face to face meetings gain the best results, however I am very happy with remote mentoring too.

As an Agent, I am responsible for syndicated lending in Scandinavian countries and dealing with the biggest Nordic customers such as APMM, Volvo AB and etc. Daily we manage and structure transactions in billions that is a big number, but still a number. Soft skills is what you need to get further and critical thinking to make choices without regrets. My goal is to make your weakness into strength and point out the pitfalls to avoid in your professional career. Personally, I believe that soft financial indicators such as human capital and business strategy based on sustainable development are as much important as profit, ROI or any other well know financial ratios used to measure KPIs. As a mentor I have been working not only with finance students, as I believe that everyone has a big potential and my task is to inspire you go for it. I am straightforward in my language, but warm-hearted in my actions. I love to communicate with students who are honest with themselves and are ready to become “givers” once they accumulate the knowledge and experience.
